Jennifer is a successful entrepreneur and start-up CEO, business advisor, author and speaker.

Jennifer Turnage believes in empowering women to achieve financial independence.

As a Chief Financial Officer and entrepreneur, she helps entrepreneurs start and grow businesses. With a history of serving as the first CFO of numerous businesses, she works in partnership with the Founder to implement the appropriate finance team, systems and service provider relationships.

Jennifer served as the full-time and fractional CFO of numerous investor and private-equity backed companies with five liquidity events. Jennifer’s other executive roles include Co-Founder and CEO of myBeeHyve, Vice President and General Manager, International of ChannelAdvisor; and Founder and Managing Partner of TechCXO RTP.  

Jennifer is currently a member of the Board of Advisors of Marshallton Research Laboratories and xElle Ventures.  She also serves as a member of the Executive Committee and the Chair of the Screening Committee for xElle Ventures. xElle is an early-stage fund of women founders, executives, and investors who provide debt financing to support the ideas, products, and services of women. 

In 2019, Jennifer was recognized as a member of the Innovators category of the inaugural Wilmington Biz 100. She is the recipient of a 2018 NC IDEA SEED grant for myBeeHyve and a member of the 2018 NC IDEA SOAR program for female entrepreneurs.  myBeeHyve was recognized by the NC Tech Association as a 2018 Top 10 Startup to Watch, and Jennifer was recognized as a winner of the Wilmington Business Journal’s 2019 Coastal Entrepreneur Award in the Internet category. Jennifer was a nominee for the Cape Fear Region YWCA Women of Achievement Award, a past winner of the Triangle Business Journal Women in Business Award, and a finalist for the Triangle Business Journal CFO of the Year Award.
